SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY
We as a church body are very fortunate to have a large percentage of very special senior adults within our church family. Seniors who are faithful in attendance and faithful in giving and serving. Covid has slowed us but we are on the rebound. Many of our Senior adults are finding great pleasure in helping with specific ministries in our community such as God's Warehouse, First love on Main, and caring for the homebound and those who are in the nursing homes.
The Senior Adult Ministry of First Baptist Church Strives to:
Provide solid Bible Study and Discipleship for all Senior Adults
Provide a loving and personal touch to each Senior Adult
Provide ministry opportunities for every Senior to exercise their gifts and abilities
Provide fellowship activities that allow Seniors to experience a good time and cultivate lasting friendships
Opportunities
Our motivation verse for ministry with our Seniors is found in psalm 92:14 "They shall still bear fruit in old age" in other words you are never too old to serve!
Bible study, which meets at 9:45 on Sunday's, is meeting a spiritual need as well as providing great fellowship
JOY Fellowship, which stands for Just Older Youth, leads the way in planning and promoting trips and activities.
We meet for fellowship on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00am and on the 4th Tuesday of each month at noon in the fellowship hall.
